We understand that there is a heightened concern around food safety with all the alarming news about COVID-19. Personal Chef To Go customer health and safety have always been our top priority.
We taking all necessary precautions and, in fact, we are ramping up production to assist as many at-home workers, front-line personnel and elderly as possible. Our food production is FDA and VA Dept of Agriculture inspected. As part of our HACCP plan (Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Points), we also conduct routine laboratory sampling and inspections for any food pathogens. This inspection ensures that our production methods are effective in killing any pathogens that might make people ill.
Sick individuals are never allowed to work in food production.
Moreover, our tamper-proof packaging is also specially designed to create a high heat, high humidity, high pressure environment when the meals are heated. This creates another "kill step" for any potential pathogens. As for non-heated salads, the COVID-19 virus or any other virus can't live on food surfaces.
