The Producer: If the name Catracha Coffee Company sounds familiar, it is. Catracha was founded by Honduran Mayra Orellana-Powell, and we look forward to this coffee every year. Over the course of a decade, Catracha has helped an ever-expanding community of farmers to produce great coffee and gain economic security through the specialty market. This release combines the best from Catracha’s farmers in a single lot. In return, we pay two premiums for it—one based on quality that goes directly to farmers and a second that helps fund Catracha’s nonprofit, which promotes social enterprise and economic empowerment.
