Our most frequently asked question; how should a hat be worn?

We tend to recommend to have the hat sit on the crown with the brim just above the eyebrows, and horizontal with the ground. rather than it being tilted back and perched on the back of head, This way it’s firmly fixed and not likely to blow away in any wind. 

However wearing the hat on the back of the head can offer a really relaxed and modern look for a cool and stylish look.

Fedora, Trilby and Panama, so many options, which one is best for you?

The Fedora is the go-to for all occasions, it’s by far the easiest to wear if you’re not a hat person. It’s so versatile and with the option of Wool felt, Rabbit Fur or Beaver Fur there’s a style for everyone. With a wider brim than a trilby it offers great protection from both rain and sun and can be worn for all occasions from a relaxed family day out or lunch with friends, to a day at the races. What are the key things to consider when purchasing a hat?

The first thing we would recommend considering is the material you would like your hat to be made from, this could be fur, wool or straw. 

Secondly consider the use you will get from your hat, is it for an event? Or is it for every day wear? 

Next think about the colour, what colours do you wear regularly? You want a hat that matches to your wardrobe and you feel comfortable to pair with outfits. 

Finally choosing the right size is important to ensure your hat is best suited to your head, you can find our size guide and video here to make sure you measure correctly. Our hats come up true to size, however, should you find yourself in between sizes, we would advise to go up a size.
