Custom quilting enhances specific areas of a quilt such as blocks, sashing and borders using multiple designs, whereas edge to edge or allover quilting repeats the same design. This technique accents embroidered and appliqued elements while filling the surrounding shapes with beautiful, quilted texture. Custom quilting is what stops you in your tracks at quilt shows.

Celebrate love and laughter with My Punny Valentine! At this NEW Kimberbell one-day machine embroidery event were you will make five witty and wonderful projects with other stitching enthusiasts. First, transform an ombre tea towel into our “Served with Love” Apron, topped with a food truck pocket and cupcake label of pink Embroidery Leather. Then create our “You’re Spectacular” Zipper Pouch with heart-shaped shades of Vinyl and Applique Glitter! Three miniature pockets are sweet gifts for Valentine’s Day, including “You Compute Me,” “You’re Stellar,” and “Llama Just Say.”

(This course is a pre-requisite for our new in-store long arm rental program)

Cost: $45 / Required Course For Long Arm Rentals
Long Arm Certificate Training Course (3-Hour Group Course)
All customers must take this course to be eligible to rent the longarm machines.
Class will include the following topics:
- Machine functions such as: Stich Regulation, and Constant Stitch;
- Handle bar functions and adjustments
- Start & stop buttons and control,
- Threading the needle and bobbin
- Basic trouble shooting and maintenance
- Loading your fabric – top, bottom, batting
- Tension, Tension, Tension
- Rental program basics
