3 Peaks in 3 Weeks In May 2022, high-altitude mountain guide, photographer and Shimoda Designs customer Suman Gurung summitted three 8000m peaks over a three week period – and all with his Action X50. We believe Suman is the first to summit Mount Everest with a Shimoda camera bag. Congratulations to Suman!
May 7th, 2022 | Kangchenjunga | 8,586 meters Kangchenjunga is the world’s third tallest mountain. Its name means “The five treasures of the high snow.”
May 27th, 2022 | Everest | 8,848.86 meters Everest is the world’s tallest mountain above sea level. Its name means “Holy Mother,” which is exactly what we said when we heard about Suman’s accomplishments.
May 28th, 2022 | Lhotse | 8,516 meters Lhoste is the world’s fourth tallest mountain located in the Mahalangur Himal section of the Himalayas.
Suman is currently on an expedition attempting the world’s 2nd tallest mountain K2 - 8611m and the 12th tallest - Broad Peak at 8,051m. You can follow along with Suman’s adventures on his often-updated Instagram @guiding_photography.
