Embellishment Mastery with Angela Wolf

One of Angela’s signatures is embroidery, all the way from refashioning jeans to creating custom fabric and trims. Angela will share many techniques for customizing your next garment or project with embroidery, thread painting, quilting, needle felting, and more. She will discuss stabilizers, thread options, needle choices, design ideas and placement.
Learn techniques for embellishing satin, chiffon, knits, faux leather, vinyl, stretch denim, silk dupioni, cotton sateen, and tulle. She will also include a lesson on creating your own lace fabric, one that she frequently uses for sleeves “her removable tattoo’s 😊”. Whether you want to Embellish fabrics for crafting, home decoration, garments, or re-fashion something in your closet, you will leave full of inspiration for your next project!

Professional Apparel Techniques with Angela Wolf

Angela ran a custom apparel business for 20 years, designing everything from couture wedding gowns to Chanel style jackets and designer jeans. Angela will share techniques for achieving a professional designer look on all of your home-made garments. Angela will discuss techniques for sewing jeans: fabric choices, topstitching techniques, distressing tips, and fitting issues.
Then she will move onto knit tops: choosing the right fabric, fitting, negative ease, stitching, hemming, and more. Lastly, she will discuss jackets, sharing tips for perfecting the fit, sewing a beautiful set in sleeve, designing different collars, sewing a bagged lining, quilting the lining, and ideas for couture trims. Angela is bringing many of her garments for you to see up close and get inspired!

Touch Of Lace with Angela Wolf

Whether you are refashioning a garment or sewing from scratch, embroidery adds a fashionable twist. One of Angela Wolf’s signature fashion items is to embroider on tulle to design custom lace for sleeves (she often calls removable tattoos), collars, inserts, and accents. Start the class by embroidering your own custom lace fabric. Angela will show hooping, choosing the right designs for borders and trims, stabilizer options and more. Then we will use this custom fabric and trim to refashion a simple knit top. This class includes everything you need to embroider, you just bring a top or two to refashion.
