If you haven’t taken enough time to rest this weekend… stop reading this email, shut down whatever device you’re on, and go do something just for yourself. Whether that means taking a nap on the couch, drawing a hot bath, or binge-watching a new show, it’s super important to unwind before starting a new week. Until you do that, the rest of this email is irrelevant.
Now, if you have rested this weekend, you can take just a few minutes to set yourself up for the week. We believe that besides taking it easy, Sundays are for taking stock. After relaxing, Sundays are for reflecting.
Take five minutes to reflect on what the past week was like, what the future week holds, and where you are in the bigger picture of your life in terms of 5- or 10-year goals. What is the one thing you need to do in the coming week to stay on track? Visualize it. Then spend a couple more minutes thinking of what you’re grateful for today.
Taking just a little time to put things in perspective before Monday morning will make a world of difference.
