Last night I was sick with the news, no original thought coming from me and feeling the pinch from the price of fuel and food for my animals... never mind motorcycle parts! I decided to escape and put on Net-Flicks. Naturally THE BOMBARDMENT drew my attention.
It drew me in because it appeared to be from a book I'd read a few years ago, "The Last Train," if memory serves, about the Dutch underground in World War II. The movie only takes a few pages from the book, and expands on it graphically as only film can do... sitting alone in my dark living room, I found myself crying out loud at the mass destruction of innocent lives... overlaid by the feelings I have for us now...
... and as I numbly reached for my mouse this morning, I clicked on the Duran. Like them or hate them, I believe these two guys are on the side of humanity. I think they're just as disappointed as I am with the way we've been fooled again.
... and I'm pissed at Washington, the military industrial complex and The People... who plod about with two and three year plans...and debate if it's Constitutional enough... as a hundred car freight train bears down on us at sixty miles an hour. I want to wake up and scream at them...!
... but I'm already awake. Friends, I don't think this link is far off the mark. It's short. When will we demand our government to stop? When will we make them stop? As history rolls on unabated by reason, love or silly lines drawn in the sand...
