Did you know there are billions of bacteria
living in our mouths?
When we brush our teeth, we are removing the bacteria from the surfaces the toothbrush touches, but where do these bacteria go after brushing? On the toothbrush! So, it's equally as important to take care of your toothbrush to reduce the bad bacteria that goes into your mouth.

Here's 5 ways to take care of your toothbrush
Rinse your brush before and after use with cold tap water to help remove any existing bacteria before you begin brushing.
Use toothpaste when brushing to help fight cavities AND decrease the number of bacteria that resides on your brush.
Store your brush in an upright position (away from the toilet) and allow it to air dry to help reduce the number of bacteria that can accumulate.
Replace your brush every three months. Bristles need to maintain their shape in order to remove bacteria and plaque effectively. When you see the fray, throw it away!
Don't share your brush with others. Sharing is caring, but not in this case. If you share your toothbrush, you risk spreading bacteria and other bodily fluids to each other.
