"After meeting Jill Calder and exploring St Andrews with her, my University memories of bonfires on Castle Sands Beach were evoked. I felt a peated expression would be the perfect match, reflecting the smoky scent reminiscent of my university days. It is not a heavily peated expression so it will appeal to those who do not usually enjoy peated whisky. This whisky was crafted using peat from Aberdeenshire which has a more floral and grassy profile than the peat found in Islay. I have balanced it with the finish in premium ex-Grande Champagne Casks to ensure the overall taste is sweeter like a smoked shortbread biscuit."
