MEGAN BAILEY
DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT + MARKETING AT GIGI PIP
Today on "The Hats We Wear," we’re spotlighting our brilliant Product + Marketing Director, Megan Bailey! Megan plays a key role in shaping every collection + ensuring our brand’s timeless vision shines through. We’re beyond excited to share a peek into her life + the many hats she wears day-to-day. Enjoy!
"I’m a designer, a marketer, a boss + grateful to be able to work with so many talented people. I’m a stay-up-later, sleep-in-later which means I’m also a coffee drinker. I’m a daughter, sister, aunt, virgo, ambivert + daily podcast junkie.”
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORK DAY LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?
“Since I wear many hats at work, each day looks a little different. Most days start with team meetings, one-on-ones, planning upcoming marketing strategies, + some kind of product touch base—whether it be communicating with our factories, checking samples, or working on new projects. My days are pretty packed full from one thing to the next, but I wouldn’t want it any other way!”
WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE ON GAINING CONFIDENCE?
“Gaining confidence, especially for women, with the many unique challenges + societal expectations we face, can be really hard. I believe confidence starts from within. We have to believe in ourselves + be proud of who we are, not what we think others want us to be."
"We all have unique strengths + qualities that make us who we are, + the moment we embrace them + give ourselves graceis when our confidence can really shine the brightest. For me, I stopped caring what other people thought of me a long time ago (having kids really brought this out in me). Now my confidence comes from being proud of who I am + all the unique hats I wear.”
