They outlived the dinosaurs. They've outlived ice ages, asteroid impacts, and just about every threat thrown at them.
But they might not outlive the plastic age…

Six of the seven sea turtle species are listed as vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered.
The threat list is long: fishing nets, beach development, boat strikes, light pollution that disorients hatchlings, and the one we deal with directly every single day: plastic.
Sea turtles mistake plastic bags for jellyfish. They get tangled in ghost nets. Their stomachs fill with plastic fragments they can't pass.
