Whether it's the synthetic stuffing in a pillow, polyester in a duvet, or the memory foam in a mattress, most of us are unaware of just how much plastic we’re sleeping in each night.
The most common plastic found in bedding is polyester.
So… What’s the BIG Problem with Polyester? Well, it’s tough to narrow it down to just one, but here are 3 of the biggest issues we currently face:

Nearly 70 million barrels of oil are used each year to make polyester globally. (1)
- It's a non-renewable, carbon-intensive resource that has a huge environmental impact.
- There are very few places where bedding and pillows made from polyester and memory foam can be recycled, which means they typically end up in landfills, and sometimes even in the ocean. 😀
