Our Perfumer’s Inspiration

Created by Senior Perfumer Philippe Paparella, Rose Dunes is inspired by the mystic ‘desert rose’ found in the Arabian Desert. Not a true flower, it’s a unique and intricate rose-like formation of crystallised mineral clusters.

As always, we use the best ingredients in exceptional fragrance concentrations and Rose Dunes is no exception. We’ve sustainably sourced our patchouli from Sulawesi, Indonesia for its intensity and high quality.

Sustainably Sourced Patchouli

The cultivation process of our patchouli helps preserve the soil and enhances the livelihood of farmers. ‘I spent two years in Indonesia early in my career,’ says Philippe, ‘and saw how important it is to develop and support local communities.

Contemporary Twist

Having worked in the Middle East, Phillipe is especially passionate about ambery fragrances traditional to the region. He’s added a more modern, universal appeal by introducing chypre notes like patchouli, cassis and moss.

Eau de Parfum Or Eau de Toilette?

Eau de Parfum

Be captivated by a dark bloom of spicy saffron, velvety rose and opulent oudh accord. An overdose of patchouli brings sophisticated depth.

Eau de Toilette

Rich cassis berry is softened by intimate saffron and warm rose. Patchouli and resinous amber enrich the earthy-mossy base.
