Credo Gets Direct with Fragrance

By now, you know we can't get enough of Credo Beauty. You can attribute some of our feels to the fact that Credo is the world’s largest clean beauty retailer, thanks to their insistence on transparency about the products they carry. This means that they don't carry anything on The Dirty List, which is outlined in Credo's Clean Beauty Standard.

This month Credo Beauty added a new standard,
​Radical Fragrance Transparency.

So, what does this mean? According to Credo, many of our good-smelling products in our beauty cabinets contain “fragrance", and (surprise!) companies don't have to specify the composition of a "fragrance". Credo tells us that fragrance blends can actually be a combination of up to 4,000 hidden ingredients. Talk about a real lack of transparency. 

From now on, all products sold by Credo Beauty are required to specify exactly what makes up their fragrances. This is a huge step from our friends at Credo Beauty.

Speaking of Transparency

Here’s something totally inclusive: Procter & Gamble recently announced that Always (one of the biggest sanitary products brands in the world) is removing the Venus symbol (♀) from the packaging on their products in efforts to acknowledge menstruating transgender and nonbinary customers.

This re-design is expected to fully roll out on shelves worldwide by February 2020. 

Although it’s not clean beauty, it’s a celebratory moment! We value inclusivity in wellness here at Sundaily, and we believe in change.
