As we step into 2024, it is a great time to create new habits. Challenging yourself mentally and physically allows you to get a taste of what you are capable of. This can look different for everyone. Picking habits that align with your personal goals is key. It should be challenging and most likely will be out of your comfort zone but it is important to set yourself up for success and don’t bite off more than you can chew. Our fearless leader, Jason McCarthy is taking on 75 Hard and his better half, Emily McCarthy has committed to what she calls “75 Not So Hard”!

Whether you’re taking on 75 Hard, or “Not So Hard”, let’s do it together.

"A bunch of us from GORUCK Tribe, HQ and friends like Michael Easter are doing #75HARD starting this January. A buddy, Andy Frisella, started it and over a million people have done it.

Here are the basics of 75 HARD:
You must complete five daily tasks for 75 consecutive days without fail. The tasks include drinking a gallon of water, working out twice, sticking to any structured diet, reading 10 pages of a book, and taking a progress photo – every day.

GORUCK TRIBE JANUARY CHALLENGE

For our January GORUCK Tribe Challenge, we are incorporating two pieces of the larger 75 Hard Challenge:

CHALLENGE 1:
Ruck outside 45 minutes per day, you pick the load. This fulfills one of 2 workouts per day of the 75 Hard Challenge.

CHALLENGE 2:
75 Push-Ups per day.

Push-Up Points of Performance:

Hands Shoulder width apart
Only the balls of feet on the ground
Start with arms fully extended
Body remains rigid
Lower chest and thighs to the ground
Elbows in close to the body
Complete at full arm extension

*To scale the push-ups elevate hands to a step, bench, box etc. The higher your hands are elevated the easier the push-up will be.
